Our Commitment to Privacy

Vanish Chat is designed with privacy as its core principle. We believe that private conversations should truly be private, which is why our app is built around ephemeral, self-destructing communications.

Data We Collect

Minimal Data Collection: We collect and store the absolute minimum data required for the app to function:

• Anonymous user identifier (locally generated)
• Temporary room data (deleted when room expires)
• Messages and media (deleted when room expires)

User Generated Content (UGC) & Moderation

Vanish Chat is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment. We strictly enforce a Zero-Tolerance Policy regarding objectionable content.

• Active Moderation: We utilize automated server-side systems to actively filter and mask profanity, hate speech, and violent content in real-time.
• Reporting & Blocking: Users have the right and tools to immediately report or block any user generating objectionable content.
• Consequences: Users found violating our policies via automated detection or manual reports will be permanently banned from the service.
• Content Removal: Objectionable content is removed immediately upon detection or verification of a report.

Data Retention

Zero Retention Policy: All chat messages, images, voice notes, and room data are permanently deleted when:

• The room timer expires.
• The room creator exits and destroys the room.
• The creator disconnects and the grace period expires.

We do not maintain backups of room content. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.

Children / Family Policy

Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

No Behavioral Tracking

We do not track your usage patterns, read your messages, or collect any behavioral data. We do not use third-party behavioral analytics services.

Advertising & Data Collection

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the app. Google may collect and use information such as device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Ads Privacy Notice. We do not have access to the data collected by Google AdMob and do not combine it with any information we collect about you.

• We do not collect or share any personally identifiable information with Google AdMob or any other advertising partners for the purpose of serving ads.
• You can control personalized ads in your device settings or through the in-app Privacy Choices option.

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other means. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

Anti-Screenshot Protection

We implement best-effort screenshot prevention using Android's FLAG_SECURE. While this provides protection on most devices, we cannot guarantee complete prevention on all devices or against all capture methods.

User Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

• Use the app anonymously.
• Leave any room at any time.
• Report abusive content or users.
• Request information about our practices.
